Water Treatment Operator
As a Water Treatment Operator, you play a pivotal role in overseeing the setup, maintenance, and testing of water treatment operations.
Now that you’re hired, here’s what you need to know: You will work on a crew to lay and pick up poly line, lay flat hose, run transfer pumps, and essential equipment for water treatment operations. This includes loading and unloading pipe, field materials, and equipment onto trailers and trucks for safe transport. You’ll also set and service pumps and generators at job sites.
You are responsible for all associated lab testing for H2S, ORP, pH, Turbidity, TSS, iron, residual chemical and TPH/TOG and understanding chemical dosing of produced water based on water quality, rates, and customer demands.
Therefore, you must maintain knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Following safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is one of the most important parts of your job. To do your job, you need to use common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. You’ll also be communicating with coworkers using hand signals, radios, and phones.
Finally, you’ll drive trucks and other vehicles to and from job sites, transporting equipment.
Our expectations: This is hard, physical work and you will work outside in all types of weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. You have to work at heights of 15’ or greater to confirm tank levels and perform necessary maintenance. You will work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
